Human Risk Management for Dummies

I developed a narrative-driven video campaign to promote a human risk management e-book for enterprise security audiences. The project focused on translating a highly abstract cybersecurity concept into emotionally resonant, real-world scenarios that non-technical audiences could immediately recognize and understand.

The campaign was designed to increase awareness around how everyday employee behaviors contribute to organizational risk and why human-centered security strategies matter.

The Challenge

I developed a narrative-driven video campaign to promote a human risk management e-book for enterprise security audiences. The project focused on translating a highly abstract cybersecurity concept into emotionally resonant, real-world scenarios that non-technical audiences could immediately recognize and understand.

Rather than explaining human risk management through technical definitions, I focused on visualizing the everyday workplace behaviors that create security risk in practice.

The campaign centered around relatable moments—such as rushed decision-making, phishing attempts, password fatigue, and balancing productivity with security protocols—to help audiences recognize how human behavior intersects with cybersecurity.

By grounding the messaging in realistic workplace experiences, the content reframed cybersecurity from an abstract IT issue into a human and organizational challenge that employees could immediately connect with.

The videos were also structured for short-form engagement, using concise storytelling, fast narrative pacing, and scenario-driven visuals designed to increase clarity and retention.

Strategic Approach

The project helped transform a complex cybersecurity framework into a more accessible and behavior-driven narrative, making the topic easier for broader audiences to understand and engage with.

More broadly, the campaign demonstrated how technical security concepts can be translated into human-centered storytelling that supports awareness, education, and behavioral change.
